Big Biller Panel

Donald Trump once said, “As long as you’re going to be thinking anyway, think big”. On May 28, we’re inviting Cincinnati area recruiters to have lunch and think big, as in Big Billers. There are two kinds of recruiters, those who bill a lot, and those who want to bill a lot (Paul Sturgeon said that). Seven of the first group have graciously agreed to let us inside their recruiting worlds, and offer advice for those who would like to be on that panel someday. Briefly, here is the Big Biller Panel:

Carl Coco, CPC, Professions Inc. – A member of the Pinnacle Society, Carl’s specialties include packaging and converters. At the young age of 66, Carl had his best year ever in 2012. With 43 years in the business, Carl billed over $500K in 2012 and is already over $220 K for 2013.

Zach Ernest, CPC, KLA Industries – Plastic packaging including thermoformers and flexible packaging

Heather Gabbard, CSP, TRAK Group – Heather focuses on local clerical and administrative staffing. In 2012 Heather billed $487K - bringing her career billings to $1,365K.

Jeff Gies, CPC, Professions Inc. – A member of the Pinnacle Society, Jeff specializes in the banking industry

Tim Lovett, Lovett & Lovett – Retained executive search, with an emphasis on Managers, Directors, and C-Level Searches

Chris Lupien, Randstad Engineering – Automotive, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Automation and consumer products. Chris billed $55K his 1st year in the business & over $300K the last 2 years. He is on track to bill over $400K this year - his 4th year in the business.

Jennifer Spaulding-Marsh, CSP, TRAK Group – Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, Accounting, and Operations. Jen joined TRAK in 2001. In 2012 she billed her career high of over $620K - bringing her career billings to $3,618K.

Finding, Attracting & Retaining Talent for the Columbus Region: An Economic Developers Perspective
Presented by Kenny McDonald CEcD

Kenny McDonald, CEcD, serves as the primary leader of all economic development and business attraction efforts for the 11-county Columbus Region in his position as Chief Economic Officer of Columbus 2020. McDonald has an extensive background in site selection, regional economic development, community marketing, business recruitment and international business development.

He holds the professional designation of Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) and serves as an elected member of the Board of Directors for the International Economic Development Council. In addition, McDonald serves locally on the boards of NAIOP, SciTech and the Columbus Crew.

Previously, McDonald served as the executive vice president of the Charlotte Regional Partnership, a public-private economic development organization covering a 16-county region in North and South Carolina. McDonald’s 16 years of economic development experience also include leadership positions at the Albuquerque Economic Development Corporation, Fluor Daniels Global Locations Strategies and the Savannah Economic Development Authority. McDonald received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Dickinson State University and a Master of Public Administration from Georgia Southern University.

Our online payment and enrollment process enables us to run our meetings more efficiently with more time for networking and socializing. The process is:

· When you register, you will also pay for your meal via secure Paypal transaction on the OAESP web site. A receipt will be emailed to you for your records.

· If you need to cancel your registration, you will need to do so before Noon on the Monday before the event. If you cancel before Noon, you will receive a meal credit for a future OAESP meeting.

· Registrations canceled after Noon on Monday before the event (as well as No-Shows) will not receive a credit. However, you may opt to send someone else from your office in your place.
